PowerPatch® Transformer Leak Repair System

• Polywater® PowerPatch® allows for the repair of active transformer leaks, in the field, without equipment shutdown.
• Whether repairing small pinholes, cracks, or large areas, the strong material adhesion and fast cure time creates a seal that protects transformers from accelerated aging and reduces costly unplanned outages and environmental risks, including oil and SF6
• In-field repair: Fix transformers in the field without having to shut down service
• Strong moisture seal: Protects transformers from accelerated aging
• High pressure resistance: Seals leaks on the largest oil-filled and GIS systems
• Strong material adhesion: Bonds to steel, copper, porcelain, lead, and other common electrical substrates
• Dielectric compatibility: Reduces partial discharge of oil and solid insulation
• Compatible with electrical insulating oils. PowerPatch is aged for 164 hours at 100 °C to pass ASTM D3455. It shows very little change in oil quality.
• Good adhesive strength and impact resistance as tested by ASTM D1002 and ASTM G14.
• Holds continuous oil pressure, 100 psi (0.69 MPa) for one month.
• Retains strength after exposure to dielectric fluids, oils and gases.
• Non-conductive. Dielectric strength is 469 Volts/Mil tested by ASTM D149.
• In Service Temperature Use Range: -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 150°C).
• Can repair active leaks.
• Prevents galvanic corrosion.
• Usable on vertical and inverted surfaces. No sagging.
